Christmas
There is not much more to be said about Christmas
We’ve all heard it many times before.
But spare a minute to ask yourself
What do we celebrate Christmas for?
It’s not only about family reunions.
It’s about the birth of Jesus, The Christ;
Christians say he’s the Son Of God,
They’ll tell you that in a trice.
Whatever he was, you must admit
He was a great man in his time.
He radiated compassion, love and trust.
His betrayal, most agree, was a crime.
So, Christian or not, celebrate his birth!
Acknowledge the difference he made.
Pay tribute to the blameless life He led.
Merry Christmas! Indeed let it be said!
