Christmas
Christmas stars, they blink and shine
As we sing the words of love,
Waking lost souls that must pine;
Life, as battle, can be rough.
Then the lights, the bells, the jingle
May distract the worried mind
To await the man, Chris Cringle,
Who has blessings and is kind,
When the children see the image
That transports them towards hope -
Tied to precedent of lineage
That may teach us all to cope.
Music, presents, warmth and bells
Pervade this time for all mankind
Where our dreams’ excitement swells
So gently towards peace of mind.
